- I am made from FSC compliant paper or bamboo paper lined with polylactic acid (PLA) derived from mielies, sugar cane, cassava, and even beetroot trimmings.
- My lids are made from crystalized PLA, which forms CPLA. PLA is patented by NatureWorks under the IngeoTM brand.
- We strictly follow their supply chain to ensure no meddling in raw materials.
- My awesome colors come from fruit and vegetable extracts. We like to keep things natural.
What am I?
- I am certified 100% biodegradable and compostable.
- If disposed of correctly, I won’t hang around the planet for much longer than I’m needed. I’m a win for sustainability.
- I feed plants and microorganisms because I am organic.
- My content has been certified independently by Din Certco in Germany on norms ID - DIN En 13432:2000 - 12 & ASTM D6400:2012 - 01 and/or D6868, ensuring my utmost integrity and credibility.
- The Biodegradable Products Institute in the USA has tested me, certifying my total composability.
How to Dispose of me?
- Optimal conditions are commercial composters with loads of good bacteria to gobble me up.
- These hungry and helpful microorganisms will munch up 70% of me in ± 45 days and take up to 4 months to finish me off.
- *This may take a little longer at home.
- Although creepy crawlies in the soil love me, turtles don’t.
- Please remember that I am not marine degradable, so please make sure I land up in a commercial compost heap and not the ocean.
